Whoever was in charge of putting Utah State on the schedule should be spanked. If you thought the North Texas game got out of hand scoring wise, consider this; Utah State was ranked as one of the worst teams in Division 1 football before the season began. North Texas wasn't. The defensive line for Utah State is undersized and inexpereinced, they don't play in the heat (week 1 was the hottest game for them in 4 years. It was 91 degrees playing at home against UNLV. It will be at least that hot in Norman Oklahoma), the seniors on offense could only muster 16 points, they have a freshman at QB & he led the team in rushing. The senior RB scored his first rushing TD in week 1. Pray that Utah State leaves Norman healthy. OU 1000, Utah State 0. |

Where does your favorite school rank? OU ranks #5 AFTER the NCAA removed its 8 wins from the Rhett Bomar era. If they get them reinstated, as they are trying to do, OU will rank #1 in most wins, with a 103-33 record. SEE THE STORY |

Miami Hurricanes - All the respectable schools play respectable schedules as much as they can. Most football schedules are decided years in advance and that can make it difficult to get good non-conference match-ups. There always seems to be room to fudge the schedule though. OU traded 2 games against never-gonna-be-great teams for games against more respectable teams last year. This year, Miami travels to Norman Oklahoma and will play Texas A&M at home. Not exactly a cake walk, but should certainly tune them up for play in the ACC, a conference that they've never won and that everyone expected them to dominate when they entered. However, Miami football over the last few years has inspired some to refer to them as the Hurri-can'ts. Well ok, that was just me, but I think it may catch on if they can't fix their offense.

This is my own record of the Barry Bonds saga. I hope it's available on the Internet for all time so that everyone in the generations to come can understand quickly what the home run king and the steroid era has done for professional baseball. Barry Bonds gains the home run record in August of 2007 and many people aren't ok with it. After admitting to using something from the BALCO laboratory called the 'cream and the clear', every hit off Bond's bat is greeted with a jeer and a chat of "asterisk!" from the home crowd. This homemade ointment he rubbed on himself. Barry's only defense of this is him saying that he didn't know what he was using. He thought it was flaxseed oil he says. |

Baseball's taken a PR beating in the last 2 years with all the steroid talk and the Barry Bonds fiasco. MLB may lose a few fans. In my opinion though major league baseball has other things to worry about. Check out my list of complaints about baseball.
Before that though, visit a great place to buy baseball equipment , BaseballWarehouse.com
